Player Help

• The midi/karaoke player on hymn pages requires the Apple QuickTime browser plug-in
• ActiveX content must be enabled in the MS Internet Explorer browser
• Dedicated (sometimes free) karaoke player software programs offer much nicer lyrics scrolling and display control options than the Quicktime plug-in
• Search the internet for good other midi/karaoke players such as VanBasco, KarFun and Notation Musician
• Demo (on-line Music Library) plays a shorter, sample midi/karaoke file (usually one stanza)

Sound Quality

• The sound quality you hear from Music Library midi and karaoke files depends on
  • the quality of the sound card built into your computer
  • the software that synthesizes the music (the midi player)
  • the quality of your speakers
• Usually, high quality speakers are the most critical component contributing to a full, pleasing sound
• Advanced midi player software allows tweaking the playback quality, instrument sounds, tempo and other performance qualities
