Christ, the head and cornerstone,
Jesus Christ, our King and Head,
Thou wilt return, our risen Head:
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head.
Bruise in us the serpent's head.
Bruise for me the serpent's head
Low lies His head with the beasts of the stall;
And endless praises crown His head;
On your head a crown!
Cover my defenseless head
Lord Jesus, Thou the Church's Head
Lord Jesus, Thou the Church's Head,
All who cleave to Christ the Head!
Ever of my Head divine
Jesus, Thou art now our Head.
Gracious Head, Thy member own;
Thou hast bowed the dying head,
Bow Thy meek head to mortal pain,
Would He devote that sacred head
Bows His head as life is broken.
When then I bow my head in death.
They crown Thy head with thorns, they smite, they scourge Thee;
To crush the ancient serpent's head!
On that dear head of Thine
See, from His head, His hands, His feet,
We drink of Thee, the Fountain head,
In heav'nly gladness dwells our Head,
O Sacred Head, Now Wounded
O sacred Head, now wounded,
O sacred head, what glory,
O Sacred Head, Now Wounded
O sacred Head, now wounded,
O sacred head, what glory,
Joined to Him, thy living Head,
Are one with Him, their Head,
He lives, my everliving Head.
I shall lift my head in glory.
All glory to our risen Head!
With oil anointest Thou my head,
My head Thou dost with oil anoint,
Since Christ, our Head, arose:
For where the Head is, there full well
The Head That Once Was Crowned
The Head that once was crowned with thorns
With soul and body, head and heart,
With joy shall I lift up my head.
In blessings on your head.
Nor let my head or heart or hands
And crown my aged head
Upon my head He numbers.
Though waves and storms go o'er my head,
And error boldly rears its head.
If Christ, the Head, befriend me,
Rain fast upon his head,
Gathers round its head sublime.
Shall I fear? How could the Head
Thou on my head in early youth didst smile,
Peace is the pillow for my head;
